Hey, it's the 21st century

I know I haven't posted in forever but I have decided that I shall take over this blog as my own and bloggy blog blog. So, this is my blog now, mwaahahahaha, *cough cough* 'scuse me.

Anyway, to report of my latest adventure-Prom 2012!

Aren't we hot? Techincally yes we are because our body temperature is around 98.6.

This was a rather unique dance because 1) The girls asked the guys, 2) we only had one girl go to Syracuse and that was the Prom that we were going to. 3) We had three Davis students, Ciarra Klingonsmith, Taylor Greenwell (my date) and me. 4) One Sky View guy, Mike Larson, and a Clearfield Student, Judd.

Okay how it all started was a late girl night for Chloe, Ciarra and me. We were all hyped up on chocolate and ice cream and it was about midnight and we pretty much planned Prom that night. We figured hey, it's the 21st century, let's ask guys to prom. I have not been to a prom yet, so I decided to take advantage of that opportunity and ask Taylor, (who I did policy for so he owed me a favor).

It was so much fun! We had dinner at the Roof and that was the coolest thing ever. All the guys were gentlemen. It was awesome to eat at a fancy dinner all dressed up like princesses,( well except for the guys). Taylor's favorite part was the lime in his drink. He makes me laugh. My favorite part was the excellent red velvet cake.

After dinner we walked around Temple Square and took some fun pictures. I got an awesome picture with my two girlfriends whom I adore. We also attempted to walk around City Creek but that was extremely crowded so we skipped out on a lot of it and walked to the Union Pacific building for the dance. It was a beauitful building but sort of small for all the students. We lasted about 45 minutes.

We then took Frontrunner home and had ice cream and games at my house. It was a pretty awesome night. We got everyone home about 1230. It was a huge success. So now I can say I have been to Prom! I do hope I get asked to Davis' but if not, I'll survive.

Who says girls can't ask to boys choice?

Lithum iron, the building blocks of LiFe

Life
I don't know why, but I felt inspired to blog about life in general. Life is too good to us right now. Sure as a family, we have our rough spots, aruging, disobeying, grounding and such but I know that Heavenly Father put us together as a family on purpose. As mom has said, we compliment each other's personalities and there's not much more to say then that. A laid back personality to a more tense and back and forth. We have a dad that is excelling at what he does, a mom who can stay home and watch after us hooligans running around. Three kids who do pretty well at school, sure chem, and latin, and precal can be pretty nasty but that's why we have people who can help us in life. Why wouldn't we want to be stuck with these people for eternity, sure they annoy the heck out of us, but that's why we want them, is because they do annoy heck out of us. :)

Another thing I love is loyal friends. Friends who can back you up and support you and just plain love you. Friends that love you even when they know your true self. Friends, whom you have known since the pre exsistence. I guess it all goes back to love. Sure life is hard but the one thing I have learned over and over and over again, love can conquer all.

Sometimes I wonder, why? Why do we have such a beauitful family? Why do we have such incredibly loyal amazing friends who would save us? I don't know why exactly but I know that we are incredibly thankful for such things. The thing we always try to do in life is to live and breath and be grateful for the things that we have.

New Blog, New Year

Well, here I am creating a blog for the Schick family. I usually am a journal writer but I guess everyone would like to see of our adventures as a family. If you don't know us, good for you, if so, sucks to be you.

We have a ton of fun as a family. We get along about eighty percent of the time, hey it just means we aren't perfect. We love traveling, watching movies, and just playing as a family. We love Star Trek, Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, and Pirates. We are generally laid back and just happy with whatever.

You're probably asking, why the name? Well, it was one of Grandpa Gary's favorite sayings. So it's paying respects to him and I couldn't think of of another creative name.

So for this New Year, I'm going to try blogging for our family and see how it goes. Hopefully we'll have enough adventures to keep our few audience members semi-interested.
